Bridport Fire Department RecognizesDedicated Volunteers On Monday March 10th The Annual Bridport Fire Department Banquet was held. The following firemen received recognition: Dusty Huestis, 20 years of service, Bub Crosby, 15 years of service, Joe Degray, 50 years of service, Chuck Welch, 15 years of service, Dean Degray, 25 years of service. [ more ] Vergennes Rotary Club Casino Night The Vergennes Rotary Club annual Casino Night is Saturday, March 29 at the Vergennes American Legion. This annual event brings fun to all by staging casino-type gambling games without actually gamblin for the benefit of the Rotary’s scholarship program. For over 30 years the Vergennes Rotary Club has sponsored Casino Night and has offeered games of blackjack, bingo, dice games and wheels of chance for everyone. As Vergennes Rotary President Jeff Scott remarked “It is an opportunity for havinh fun for a worthy cause.” Admission is a $10 donation which allows each player $500 of casino playing chips in order to participate in the games. Prizes are awarded at the end of the evening.These prizes have been donated by area merchants.
