Expanded Vermont Beads And Fibers Adds Reason To Visit Downtown Middlebury

    The ancient crafts of beading and knitting have taken on new life thanks to modern technology, and a new generation is learning about the new materials and techniques at Vermont Beads & Fibers.
    Begun by nationally known beading teacher Bethany Barry two years ago in the Frog Hollow area's Star Mill, the store has gained a clientele who come from all around Vermont and from several nearby states. A better mousetrap may not be that much of an attraction, in a country with more cats than dogs, but lampwork and dichroic and Miracle beads (and many more), or Ironstone, Crystal Palace and Himalaya yarns (and many more), will bring experienced crafters (and many more) from great distances.

Rainville Campaigns in Addison County

(LtoR) Rep. Connie Houston, Rep. Harvey Smith, Brian Carpenter, Gen. Martha Rainville and Russell Carpenter enjoy some welcome sunshine on Wed.May 24th at Champlain Valley Equipment. The Carpenter’s own & operate  Champlain Valley Equipment. General Rainville was on a campaign swing through the county with Houston & Smith visiting area businesses. Asked about her visit Rainville quipped “I’ve flown over Addison County many times and its great to be on the ground meeting people on such a beautiful day.” Rainville’s run for Congress is on in ernest and she plans future visits to “The Land of Milk & Honey.”  [ more ]

Changing Hands

(LtoR) Brad Chamberlain and Eric Rossier enjoy a quick joke and a hearty handshake as the two celebrate Brad and Monique’s purchase of the Polaris Snowmobile and ATV division of Devine Sales and Service. Eric’s father, the late Charlie Rossier began the  negotiating for the sale of his business to the Chamberlain’s. Charlie  was unable to see the completion of the deal. Charlie lost his heroic battle with kidney cancer this last month
    Brad and his wife Monique have pledged to carry on the Rossier family tradition of customer service at their newly expanded B.C. Motorsports.
    B.C. Motorsports is located in the former Devine complex right on Route 7, in Ferrisburgh. They are ready to greet their current customers and look forward to meeting many new ones in the weeks and months to come.
