Sharing Memories of School Days Gone By By Cookie Steponaitis With just the blink of an eye we can all retrieve our favorite school memories. Remember that time in third grade science? Or perhaps it was that field trip in sixth grade? Was it the bus ride home from the championship or even that prom down at the lake? With each memory that you share, the moments that shaped your youth and future pathways provide a glimpse into who you are and what you value. School day memories also give us fascinating glimpses into times gone by, when going to school was vastly different than today and the schools were one room for all. These four footed friends provided the transition from the Cape to Vermont and brought Donna Baldwin full circle, back to owning an managing a horse farm. [ more ] Letter To The Editor I am saddened at the fact that Shard Villa will close their doors on May 31, 2009. As an employee of the Columbus Smith Estate as a caregiver to the elderly residents, I have grown to love them. I returned to work there for the fourth time with the first being at the age of 16 while Mr. and Mrs. Brilyea took a vacation. I was young, and must say a bit petrified of this spooky place. Over the years, I would return to work there over and over. The fourth time beginning in mid summer of 2008. [ more ]
