Histories, for many Americans are the facts, dates and statistics embedded on the pages of textbooks we saw and survived in school. They are memorized but quickly forgotten in the sea of information that we use to live our lives. They offer little connection to us personally and even less gratification when holding a conversation with friends. Let’s be honest, history is viewed by many as being all about dead people.

Celebrating a Forty Year Partnership: Pratt’s Store & Bridport

    There has been a store in the heart of Bridport located on the corner of Route 22A and Route 125 since the late 1800’s. Since May 1, 1969 it has been under the stewardship of Darwin Pratt and family. Pratt’s Store is celebrating 40 years of its unique role as a store, community anchor and gathering point with three generations behind the counter serving three generations of patrons.

Mendy’s Clothing Opens New Store in Middlebury

   The Addison County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the opening of Mendy’s Clothing’s third location at 66 Main Street in Middlebury. Owned by Mendy Mitiguy, all three stores feature fashion-forward styles that appeal to all women and range in sizes from 0-14 and 24-32. Mendy’s carries jewelry and accessories as well.
