Tigers Contained 7-0 vrs Red Hawks

   The MUHS Tiger Varsity Football Team made a move to Division II but recently they were playing like they never left Division I.  Their win over Mt. Mansfield last years D-2 runner up on Saturday September 19th, is a case in point.  The Cougars got one touchdown against a tough, hard hitting, Tiger defensive unit.  Three weeks ago it was Fair Haven scoring only one touchdown against the Tigers.  Both teams (Fair Haven and Mt. Mansfield,) were in the ball game till the end and both led by touchdowns early in the first quarter only to have the Tigers figure out a way to win, move into the lead themselves and close the door.

Addison County Benefit Truck and Tractor Pull Enters Fifth Year of Giving Back

    It has been said countless times that one good deed is like a ripple in a pond and with each new ripple increases in size and impact. Ten years ago community members reached out and raised money to help Ken “Zeke” Van De Weert who was struggling during a long battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease. The funds that were presented anonymously to the family allowed Ken to install a track system in his home and equip his vehicle with hand controls, permitting him more freedom and mobility as his body slowly lost its mobility to the disease. The family also took Ken on a family trip and was able to spend valuable time with him before his passing.  In honor of Zeke and to give back to the community that supported him, Addison County Benefit Truck and Tractor Pull was born.

Signs Of The Season

   There are sure signs the changes of the season are once again upon us and that behaviors are shifting as quickly as the colors of the trees. Until just recently shorts, flip flops and light sweaters were the standard dress for humans and the activity in your back yard bustled with animals hard at work raising young and basking in the extra hours in the warmth of the sun until just recently when it all began to change!  [ more ]

Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center Health Careers Students Begin Clinical Rotations at Porter Medical Center

    Following an orientation to clinical shadowing on September 14th, students in the Health Careers program at the Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center began their clinical rotations on Monday, September 21st at Porter Medical Center in Middlebury, Vermont.   [ more ]
