Auditions Slated For Middlebury’s Got Talent! At Town Hall Theater

    It has become an end-of-summer institution, a wild mixture of singers, tap dancers, Irish dancers, stand-up comics, musicians, jugglers, and a whole lot more.  It’s Middlebury’s Got Talent, and it always plays to sold-out houses the final week of August.

    Auditions for this year’s show are open to anyone of any age with any kind of talent.  “I remember that one year we had a woman who hypnotized a chicken,” says THT executive director Douglas Anderson.  “She brought down the house.”

    Anderson is always amazed by the sheer amount of talent in the area.  “The singers we’ve had have been astonishing.  We’ve had harpists and bagpipers and 10-year old Broadway belters, all local and all terrific.”
Auditions will be held at Town Hall Theater on Thursday, July 22, beginning at 7 pm.  Anyone who’s interested should email [email protected] to set up an audition time.

    The show itself will have two performances:  Saturday, August 28 at 8 pm, and Sunday, August 29, at 2 pm.
