Fine Arts Festival Brings Together All Ages By Cookie Steponaitis There are very few events each year that bring together the power and scope of all students in the ANWSU district, but when they occur they are magical. On April 12th and 13th, the high school gymnasium came alive with projects reflecting the theme of “A World for Sustainable Art. Over a two day period hundreds of students from around the district came and toured the exhibit. Enhancing the art projects were presentations by the music departments and included bands and chorus. Each person that came had their own favorite and each person took away from the experience something new and dynamic. [ more ] Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center Students Prove They Are “Reaching the Finish Line” at the 2011 Vermont Spring Skills USA Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center students from Automotive Technology, Construction Technology, Culinary Arts, Diesel Power Technology, Health Careers, and Industrial Design and Fabrication demonstrated their knowledge at the annual Vermont SkillsUSA competition. This year’s theme was “Reaching the Finish Line” and PAHCC students proved they are! They joined students from other Career and Technical Centers at the Sheraton Inn in South Burlington on Thursday, April 7, 2011. [ more ] Agway Annual Spring Open House And the Customers loved it during the 2011 Agway Open House Celebration. Customers enjoyed the refreshments and hundreds of fantastic Agway Spring Specials throughout the store on Exchange St. here in Middlebury. The day long event is a favorite with families from all over the Champlain Valley. [ more ]
