   Linda Taylor Johnson started her educational experience like so many of her generation in a one room school in rural Ira, Vermont with no running water, a wood stove, windows with cracks and a strong breeze and only twenty kids in grades K-8. Yet, in that basic structure Linda learned several lessons about people and education that she would carry into a forty-three year career in education herself, teaching the adolescent age lovingly referred to as the “Middle Years.”

    Linda Sweeney always knew she had an ace up her sleeve and in her corner since she was a little girl was her Uncle Jack. While both had families of their own and were surrounded by love from all sides, there was a special bond between the two of them which kept them close over the years. Uncle Jack pulled her aside on her wedding day and shared with Linda the simple words, “You are the most beautiful bride I have ever seen,” etching those words in her heart and giving her yet another special moment with Uncle Jack.
