Addison County Firefighters Respond To Roaring New Haven Barn Blaze By Mike Cameron Multiple response was the order of the morning when Addison County Firefighters answered the call to what could have been an even more destructive blaze on Daniels Road in the Town of New Haven. [ more ] Bub’s Barn Changes Hands And Addison County Welcomes Peter Stevens By Cookie Steponaitis The big red barn that has been in the Crosby family for sixty years and anchored the corner of New Haven Road and East Street in Vergennes has a new owner and shows once again that while many things change even more still stay the same. Bub’s Barn changed hands on October 1, 2014 and the Crosby’s passed on the 16,000 square feet historic barn to new owner Peter Stevens. [ more ] Tigers Continue To Dominate Div I With 35-0 Win Over Mt. Anthony By Bill Hinman Homecoming in Middlebury is a time to reconnect. Friday October 14 at Doc Collins field old friends and classmates gathered to share pictures of children and grandchildren, tell of new jobs or just enjoy the company of classmates while watching a good football game. Mt. Anthony traveled up Route 7 to meet the Tigers on their home turf. Once again the fans would not be disappointed. [ more ] Dinner And Dance To Raise Funds For Holiday Turkeys By Cookie Steponaitis Every year the Vergennes Lions Club donates money to HOPE (Helping Overcome Poverty’s Effects) in Middlebury, Vermont to purchase turkeys for holiday meal baskets for Addison County families in need. Formally known as Addison County Community Action Group (ACCAG), HOPE and the Vergennes Lions Club have a long standing partnership to bring joy and food to local families in need over the holidays.
