Founded in 2009 by four individuals with a goal of bringing together, celebrating and promoting the artist of Vermont, Creative Space Gallery recently took on a new location at 214 Main Street in the Little City of Vergennes. Acting not only as a showcase for local artists, it is also a meeting space for community members and artists. Open Wednesday- Saturday from 12:00- 5:00 p.m., the Creative Space Gallery is staffed by dedicated volunteers and offers a wide range of artist’s work. In addition, one of the goals of the Creative Space Gallery is to offer people a place to begin to experience and work with different forms of art. Joining Creative Space Gallery is Vermont artist Sean Dye who has a studio in the gallery. Dye not only has his own work for sale, but teaches classes alongside other artists many different classes for the novice or the expert alike. People are encouraged to come in and also the visit the website at www.creativespacegallery.org and if you are interested in specific kinds of art classes, contact them and ask if it is available or could be possible. With the works of over forty Vermont artists on display and exhibits and programs offered, it is the hope that people will not only come by for a visit, but gravitate to the Creative Space Gallery as a conduit to be more involved with the artistic community that thrives and calls the Green Mountain State home.
