Celebrating 48 Years Of Marriage Service And Smooth Edges By Cookie Steponaitis Brad & Sara Howe celebrated their 48th anniversary on September 30th and are not only closing in on five decades of marriage, but four plus decades of community service as well. Meeting at a party in 1967 in Alexandria,Virginia, the pair have literally been together ever since. Marrying that same year and moving to Vermont in 1968, both Brad & Sara Howe loved the vibrancy of the community and have been a part of the community revolution that has occurred in this area over time. A revolution led by citizens from every walk of life in service with each other. It was also senior night, a time to salute the senior members of the team who will graduate in 2016 from MUHS. [ more ] Upcoming Rise Again Singing Concert Sparks The Community By Cookie Steponaitis Ron Slabaugh was in the fourth grade when his journey with music and the trumpet began. He was singing in the church choir as a teen, the band room was his home room in high school and college added the guitar and singing folk songs on study breaks for recreation with friends. Slabaugh openly shares his love for almost all kinds of music and his musical journey has included playing in a small chamber orchestra on the Oregon Coast and in dance bands featuring big band music and brass quintets.
