Meet Bristol Rescue Squad Member Eleanor Scully

Eleanor Scully has been a nurse for fifty-six years and a member of rescue squads for forty-one years. She and her husband moved to the area twenty-six years ago after living and working in New Jersey. When asked what keeps her involved so heavily with Bristol Rescue, Eleanor smiled and said, “Simply want to help others. There is a satisfaction in being there to help others.”  [ more ]

While most people look at a block of pine wood as kindling or something to stack up, Addison County artist Raymond Paquette looks at it and sees potential. It could become a hummingbird, landscape, walking stick or a new treasure for one of his five grandchildren or six great-grandchildren. Let Freedom Ring Bristol Prepares To Welcome Thousands

The flags fly high on the streets of Bristol and there is a hint of anticipation in the air. Thousands will flock this holiday weekend to the Bristol streets to be a part of the Fourth of July festivities that date back to the early 1950’s. The town will roll out the welcome mat starting July 3rd with festivities including fireworks, parades and Out House Races. Celebrating America’s coming of age is nothing new in Bristol and it is a weekend that locals look forward to.  [ more ]
