John Diegel’s parents John and Donna Diegel began Honeymoon Kitchens in Pennsylvania in 1995 and moved the business and bakery to Vermont in 1996. John grew up in the bakery helping his parents and loved it so much he bought the business from them in 2004 and has been at the helm since.

With Middlebury High School Football,  it's always been about fundamentals and aggressiveness.  It's been that way for years.  Last year's Junior Varsity Squad won all their games.  This year's Freshman team is big, fast and eager to learn. The Tiger Varsity has gone deep into the post-season over the past several years.

Bringing Summer And Fall All Together At Vergennes Day

The signs of both seasons were everywhere and the aroma of pancakes and maple syrup was in the air as the annual pancake breakfast was in full swing. The hubbub of the runners taking their place at the starting line of the annual 5K run focused attention as the crowds grew. People wearing the garments of summer filled the streets English and French were heard and menus at some booths carried the flavor of many nations. The largest maple on Main Street showcased a branch of leaves beginning to burst forth in hues of red. Teenagers and families savoring the last days of summer milled about in groups laughing and eating. Vergennes Day was happening and summer was once again transitioning to fall in the Little City.  [ more ]
