Bourdeau Bros Event Draws Hundreds By Mike Cameron The annual Bourdeau Bros September event marks the beginning of the Fall harvest and a chance for farmers and growers to compare notes, order needed supplies and speak with manufacturers representatives. The popularity of the event seems to grow every year like the corn, wheat, soybeans, peas and hay in near-by fields. Vegetables and fruit were also discussed. It was a true Addison County Agricultural Showcase. [ more ] OMYA's Middlebury Quarry Open House By Mike Cameron Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 10am till 2pm visitors and area residents alike had an opportunity to enjoy guided tours deep into the OMYA open pit quarry here in Middlebury. The event is always a popular late summer happening in Addison County. [ more ] Tiger Football Takes Two On Road Brattleboro At Doc Collins Field Is Next By Mike Cameron Middlebury opens the season with a 49-23 victory over Mount Anthony and follows up week two with a 14-0 over BFA.
[ more ] Addison County Benefit Tractor Pull Continues To Gain Momentum Every fall the leaves begin their cascades of red, yellow and orange hues and the people of the Champlain Valley go to the annual Addison County Tractor Pulls. The event honors Ken ‘Zeke’ VanDeWeert and began when Zeke was in the last stages of fighting Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS). The community got together to raise money to make his wish of taking one last family vacation become a reality. As a thank you to the community a committee was formed to continue the work and host the Addison County Benefit Pull. [ more ]
