Ferrisburgh Grange Junior Group Learning Sign Language By Cookie Steponaitis Gathering at the Grange Hall in Ferrisburgh once a month, the members of the junior Grange are hard at work learning sign language and are inviting more youth ages 5-14 to join them. Run by Grange Member Liz Lowry, the program is $ 2.00 to join as a Grange Member and $ 1.00 a year to belong. In fact, it was 1956 when Liz Lowry herself walked into a Grange Meeting for the first time and fell in love with the people and programs. [ more ] Porter Community Members Vote In Support Of UVM Health Network Affiliation The members of Porter Medical Center voted unanimously at the PMC annual meeting on March 15 to approve necessary amendments to the Porter bylaws representing the final step for Porter to complete an affiliation with the University of Vermont Health Network. The affiliation will become effective in April, and the formal community launch is planned for May 11 during National Hospital Week. [ more ] Wayland's Wish For Hospice In 2015, Wayland was diagnosed with stage IV cancer. His life expectancy was limited and he focused his remaining time on ensuring that everything and everyone was taken care of. Throughout his life, Wayland was always there to help others. [ more ]
