LEGO Brick Blast

    The LEGO “Brick Blast” at the American Legion hall Saturday and Sunday made a big success out of little bits of colored plastic. Addison County Chamber of Commerce executive director Ted Shambo said they would like to bring in the New England LEGO Users Group every year, to help boost tourism in the area. Meanwhile, kids both small and large were delighted with the demonstrations and contests.  [ more ]

    Either it's one of the most complicated business stories of the summer or it's one of the most solid romances, or maybe both-but in any case, the customers will benefit. And it's not a rubber stamp story, except that it is.
    It's not unusual for Vermonters to be entrepreneurial, but even in a state where everyone seems to have something going on the side (remember those bumper stickers “MOONLIGHT IN VERMONT-OR STARVE”) Brad and Blanca Jenne stand out. After working separately for years, they are now going to combine operations at an East Middlebury location where people will be able to store their memories, scrapbook them, take them somewhere else, or] forget the problems of making choices about what to save while making choices between dozens of kinds of candy.

Field Days 2007... Vermont’s Premiere Ag Event Continues To Evolve Successfully

    Addison County Fair and Field Days is scheduled this year for August 7th through August 11th.
    It won’t be long before we see the familiar signs on hay wagons along the Counties major routes that lead to the fairgrounds.
    Field Days is always a welcome event and represents a mid-point in our summer season.  
    Farmers who have been busy with the year’s first cuts of hay and forage will get a get an ever so small break in their schedules to attend.
    Begun in 1948, three years after the end of World War Two, Field Days is a terrific showcase and features a little bit of something for everyone all wrapped around agriculture and the counties agricultural life style.
