Tigers Shut Out Brattleboro 28-0

 Early in the season the Colonels were highly touted. One reason for that was their 1,045 pound offensive line truss consisting of 4 players who checked in at 250, 245, 250, and 300 respectively.
Big numbers indeed but not enough to stop a Hartford High defensive unit that allowed the Colonels just one touchdown while ringing up three of their own a couple of weeks ago.
Funny game, high school football.
On Friday night October 5th, the Colonels were in town to take on the Middlebury Tigers at Doc Collins Field in a 7 p.m. show down.
The Tigers also made a statement the week before at Essex by outplaying the Hornets after trailing early and at the half.

 The 100-year-old bridge, on Morgan Horse Farm Road, known for the noise, when crossed by wagon, bike or car, has been on a vacation of sorts.
After CCS Constructors of Morrisville received a nearly million-dollar State contract to restore the structure to it original condition, they decided the work should be performed on land. By crane and barge the 148-foot long, 55,000-pound bridge was moved to the New Haven shore.

Community Bancorp. (OTCBB: CMTV), the holding company for Community National Bank (“Community National”), LyndonBank (Pink Sheets: LYSB) and National Bank of Middlebury (“Middlebury”), announced today that they have entered into a letter of intent for the purchase by Middlebury of the Vergennes branch office of LyndonBank. The parties expect to close the branch sale immediately following completion of the previously announced merger of LyndonBank with and into Community National. The parties expect these transactions to close at or near year end, 2007.
